Magical Creatures Tarot
Magical Creatures Tarot First Edition flip through can be found on my YouTube channel.
The Magical Creatures Tarot was one of those decks on Kickstarter that took me no time at all to back. The attention to detail in the art makes this deck a must have in your collection.
The Hermit was the card that absolutely made me know that I just had to have this deck. If you know me you know that I have a thing for owls, so the fact that Linda chose an owl for this card just made my day. The artwork on this particular card is amazing and you don’t need to have a back ground in tarot to understand it. It is obvious that this little guy is enjoying his space as he finds the answers he needs by quietly deep diving into anything and everything that may have the answer. From books to maps to literally looking to the stars for answers. There is so much in this little card.
I absolutely love how Linda chose to portray the minors in this deck. It is not a simple pip deck so you will find the minors in full color depicting the story it needs to give a clear reading. Linda decided to pick a specific creature to showcase the different elements that go with the different suits. The Wands are portrayed by enchanting Dragons, the Cups are lovely Water Spirits, the Swords are beautiful Unicorns and other Horned Creatures and the Pentacles are the cutest, little Gnomes and Fae. This makes the it to where even if the cards were not labeled (they are labeled in an elegant cursive script) it would leave them easily identified.
This deck is a full tarot deck though not only does it include the full 78 tarot cards it also has 22 oracle cards. These cards though simpler than the tarot cards were still drawn with focus on the details. My personal favorite is the Wishing Well. I love the little details in this card like the little black cat peaking out and the wisp of magic containing little stars though these stars are different from the ones in the night sky letting you know they are really sparkles of the magic as your wish is granted.
As amazing as the artwork is we all know that shuffle matters. This deck is made out of my favorite linen card stock. It is a lovely 310 gsm so it feels and shuffles like a dream. It is quickly becoming one of my favorite decks to use for my readings. 10/10 I highly recommend!
